1. My name is Joseph, and I’m the father of a strong, beautiful boy named Joseph, Jr. From the moment he came into this world, I knew our path would be filled with unique challenges. Joseph, Jr. was born with special needs and multiple disabilities that affect nearly every aspect of his daily life. He is nonverbal, has limited mobility, and requires constant care and attention.

Despite all of this, he is the light of my life. His smile, his spirit, and his quiet strength give me purpose every single day. But raising a child with such complex needs comes with heavy emotional and financial burdens.

Joseph, Jr. attends several therapy appointments every week—physical, occupational, and speech therapy—just to help him build basic life skills. He also depends on specialized equipment to move, eat, and communicate. Much of what he needs isn’t fully covered by insurance, and I do everything in my power to keep up, but the costs are more than I can manage on my own.

I’ve had to sacrifice job opportunities and income just to be present for him and to meet his needs. As a single father doing my best to provide for my son, I’m reaching out and asking for help.

Medical and financial assistance would make a world of difference—not just for me, but for Joseph, Jr. It would help cover critical care, therapies, medical equipment, and allow us to keep moving forward, one step at a time.
